Work Schedule: Must be flexible to work weekends and overtime, Hours and shifts are subject to change.

Shift 1A: 4:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday-Thursday (every other Friday as OT)

Pay Rate: $21.01

Position Summary:

Responsible for providing a full range of administrative and clerical services for the manufacturing department in order to ensure effective and efficient administrative operations. Duties also include data input and reporting for all required documents and trending.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs a variety of administrative and clerical support tasks for the manufacturing department.
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely maintenance of inventory counts, records, and reports.
  • Conducts manufacturing transactions in Oracle and InSite (Camstar).
  • Sustains Work Order maintenance.
  • Will oversee material requests to Supermarket and Receiving (avoid drop in request).
  • Create a Kanban system for manufacturing department.
  • Creates, revises and maintains manufacturing documents such as MPIs, labels, SOPs, materials, training documentations, etc. with the help of engineering or with supervision.
  • Performs word processing, or typing to prepare correspondence, reports, statistical data and other forms.
  • Prepares schedules, charts, graphs, or tables according to instructions.
  • May act as liaison between departments for coordinating R&D, Engineering, and experimental builds; responsible for filing and data archiving of these builds.
  • Conducts regular audits of manufacturing documents to ensure up-to-date versions and records are kept.
  • May conduct training and time studies of manufacturing processes.
  • Conducts Cycle Count Entries, including full physical inventory with finance.
  • This position assumes and performs other duties as assigned.

Functional Description

Performs functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments.

  • Moderate understanding of general job aspects and some understanding of the detailed aspects of the job.
  • Applies acquired job and company knowledge of policies and procedures to complete semi-routine tasks.
Scope
  • Work at this level requires following standardized methods and under immediate supervision on assignments that are semi-routine in nature.
  • Follows pre-established guidelines and procedures with minimal choice as to method of performance of the work.
  • Has contact with employees at other levels within the company. Information exchanged is generally non-complex.
Judgement
  • Normally follows established procedures on routine work, requires instructions only on new assignments.
  • Works under close supervision.
Experience and Education
  • Typically requires a minimum of 2-4 years of related experience and a High School diploma/certificate or equivalent.

Language Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
