Job Description
Works in partnership with sales and account management teams to consult with prospective and existing customers to provide their employees with the best possible wellness programs. Assists the Plan Sponsor, Broker, and Account Team in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of wellness programs to reduce health risks, healthcare costs, and population absenteeism due to illness and disability.

Required Qualifications
1-5 years wellness program management experience. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Knowledge of disease processes, illness prevention, and wellness promotion required. Experience with Microsoft office products, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Ability to travel to client sites. Ability to serve customer needs in person throughout Southern CA (San Diego/Inland/Orange County) is a must. Also candidate must have his/her own reliable transportation.

COVID Requirements

Preferred Qualifications
Proactively supports Aetna’s health promotion strategy by working in collaboration with account teams to establish and maintain proactive relationships with assigned plan sponsors and brokers. Collaborates with Sales and Service staff to review available data and identify customers who may best benefit from Aetna’s wellness programs. Educates and/or consults with the customer on the best use of Aetna’s current wellness offerings. Plans, implements, and evaluates wellness programs that reduce health risks, reduce health care costs, and reduce employee absenteeism due to illness, disability, or existing diseases. Heightens the awareness of the factors that can affect health and longevity, enabling the population to take increased responsibility for their health behaviors. Coordinates health screenings and various health improvement programs and seminars. Delivers internal and external training focused on wellness programs by preparing and presenting materials related to population health management. Implements, promotes, and evaluates incentive programs that encourage population participation and retention. Establishes metrics to evaluate and measure the effectiveness of wellness programs. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education
Bachelor's degree or work equivalent
State of California Accident & Health Producer License or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
Wellness education certificates, a plus or to be obtained within the first six months.
