The Manager, Professional Affairs is responsible for building and executing our Professional Relations and Scientific Leadership programs. In this role you will develop and implement strategically aligned professional education programs in support of pre-launch and launch products. This individual should have strong medical/scientific acumen and be able to work cross-functionally with other members of the marketing team, sales personnel, Key Opinion Leaders, agencies, associations, dental schools and customers.
This position requires a strong intellectual curiosity, strategic thinking and business acumen, the ability to work independently, good understanding of laws, regulations that apply to interactions with Healthcare Professionals and take initiative with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and maintain a wide network of strategic internal and external partners/Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to collaborate on projects, strategies and speaking engagements.
- Execute KOL strategies to further develop and foster productive relationships across the Orapharma portfolio.
- Collaborate with cross functional team members to develop and implement strategies in support of marketed products, launches, and development projects.
- Manage/monitor all promotional speaker program engagements including contracting, KOL selection, training, field engagement and dental conferences.
- Develop and coordinate advisory boards to uncover key insights to support marketing strategy and tactics.
- Successfully integrate industry insights and leverage strong relationships with KOLs and speakers to support business and marketing strategies and drive top line growth.
- Build a platform that elevates the OraPharma brand and increases collaboration between OraPharma and Dental Hygienists both offline and online.
- Develop short term an long term strategies for our ARESTIN® Student Access Program.
- Speaker Bureau Oversight.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing leaders to define and execute strategy for Speaker bureau.
- Responsibility and oversight for speaker bureau budget Provide regular performance updates to marketing and sales leadership team on KOL engagement and defined KPIs
Qualifications
- Education: BA/BS and/or RDH required
- Deep understanding of the dental industry and landscape required the applicable laws, regulations that apply
- Current or previous experience creating, executing or supporting professional education strategies required
- 3+ years of medical marketing in a healthcare field is a plus
- Clear networking and alliance building capabilities with an ability to influence and develop others, and navigate the internal processes
- Demonstrated strong business acumen, strategic leadership and analytical skills
- Ability to drive strategy identification and follow-on execution
- Ability to adapt to dynamic and fast paced business environment with multiple and changing priorities
- Strong influence management and excellent written and verbal communications skills are required
- Highly motivated with demonstrated track record of high performance, project execution and producing outstanding results
- Demonstrated track record of successfully coordinating the efforts and results of multiple functional areas
- Significant, direct experience servicing customer needs, demonstrated ability to work with multiple clients and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to facilitate open discussion and debate among key stakeholders and build internal and external relationships through partnering, anticipating needs and fulfilling expectations
- This position is remote
- Domestic Travel required, ability to travel overnight ~40%
