What You'll Do
  • The Manager of Salesforce Engineering will provide ongoing management and driving of development efforts to ensure compliance with business requirements, go-live dates, scalability, and security
  • The Manager of Salesforce Engineering will lead a highly-skilled Salesforce engineering team to define and implement features that ensure regular persistence of users’ in-progress work while optimizing system performance and use of resources.
  • The Manager of Salesforce Engineering will provide technical leadership, driving best engineering practices to initiate, plan, and execute large-scale, cross-functional, and critical development efforts.
  • Work cross-team to define and build user-facing features to load drafts of in-progress work as well as backend features to seamlessly provide best in class user experience
  • Coach, mentor and grow your team towards career goals and towards increasingly high standards of engineering and operational excellence.
  • Engage and align top talent through strong recruitment, mentoring, hands-on architectural leadership and career management.
  • Maintain and improve the functionality of existing applications.
  • The Manager of Salesforce Engineering will champion and contribute improvements of ongoing standard software development processes, team infrastructure, and methodology in collaboration with other Principal and Senior Staff Software Engineers.
What You'll Need
  • Extensive software development and management experience, and a you have track record of delivering high-scale, highly-available services to cloud-hosted environments. You are experienced with Agile development methods, modern DevOps practices and operational excellence practices for supporting live services.
  • You are not satisfied by the status quo and inspire your team to continuously improve the quality of our code, systems and engineering practices. You ensure your team regularly delivers pragmatic solutions that drive towards a long-term architectural strategy
  • Capability to identify and develop strong talent and expertise to build effective teams with a culture of curiosity, collaboration, customer empathy and focus on results
  • Must have 5+ years of experience with the Salesforce platform with hands-on development and design experience
  • Experience building high-performance web user interfaces with HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, JavaScript, custom controls, XML, JQuery, JSON
  • Must have expertise in Service Oriented Architecture
  • Must have experience implementing CI/CD with tools such as Git, TeamCity
  • Experience creating/using SQL server entities (complex queries, stored procedures, database architecture).
  • Experience with Apache Kafka, Confluent, streaming data, ksqlDB is a plus
  • Experience with Advanced Messaging Queuing Protocol such as RabbitMQ or SignalR is a plus
  • NoSQL Data experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with task life-cycle (Discovery & Analysis, Implementation, Testing, Deployment).
