The Manager of Quality effectively communicates with hospital leaders and clearly conveys the hospital’s quality goals. Assists all departments in improving their performance, thereby improving the organizational performance by managing and coordinating new initiatives as well as sustaining ongoing initiatives, including performance improvement projects, mandatory and voluntary data reporting. The Manager will conduct analysis of data to ensure validity and usability for continuous process improvement. Able to utilize tools to improve outcomes including evidence based research and hospitals Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) structure. Maintain hospital-wide and department specific dashboards and act as a consultant to further improve process and services as needed. Annually reassesses the Performance Improvement Plan and committee structure to assure optimization of efficiency and compliance with accrediting agencies.

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Education and Training Experience Required

  • BSN or related healthcare degree.
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in an acute care facility and 2 years of experience in a hospital based role dedicated to quality management.
  • Ability to project a professional image.
  • Possess in depth knowledge of functions of all hospital departments and performance improvement requirements as outlined by TJC, the Department of Health for The State of TX and federal regulatory standards as outlined by CMS.
  • Knowledge and experience in the needs of patient populations served.
  • Working knowledge and ability to apply professional standards of practice in job situations.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills; excellent writing and speaking skills.
  • Working knowledge of personal computer and software applications used in job functions.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE: Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • CPHQCertified Professional in Healthcare Quality Preferred.
