· Position Summary: The Manager of the Inside Sales department is responsible for leading and managing a team of Inside Sales Representatives for Arkansas Steel Processing (ASP) and Steel Warehouse – Memphis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and direct the Inside Sales Teams within a defined territory/region.
- Delegate, implement, and administer sales programs markets to maximize profitable opportunities.
- Work closely with Business Unit Managers (ASP and Memphis), Sales Manager Southern Region, Outside and Inside Sales Teams, and local management to maximize customer satisfaction and profitability.
Train Inside sales team and monitor the effectiveness of their abilities to:
· Handle claims, issue credits or debits, handle customer issues and provide a corrective plan of action.
· Prepare inquires for potential new customers and pricing information.
· Manage daily reports and due dates.
· Receive material, process sales orders, and material assignments.
· Maintain pricing database.
· Verify purchase orders for accuracy.
· Ensure daily that all customer loads are shipped correctly.
· Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
· Foster “partnership” status relationships with customers
· Develop new business with existing clients and identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas
· Collaborate with sales teams to identify and grow opportunities within the territory
· Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
· Mentor, develop, motivate, and coach Inside Sales Account representatives.
Qualifications:
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize as needed
- Strong math / problem-solving skills
- Excellent listening, decision making, negotiation, and leadership capabilities
- Ability to understand and repeat complex written and oral instructions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills well organized with strong attention to detail
- Some knowledge of steel grade specifications and light fabrication a plus
- Customer-focused with a complete understanding of profitability
- Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, or relevant role
- Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization,
- Solid experience with MS Office (particularly MS Excel)
- Proven ability to juggle multiple accounts management projects at a time
- BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales or relevant field
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
