Job Description

SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of the Executive Director of StLRS, the Manager of Fund Development shall develop, plan and implement the comprehensive fund development program, including annual, major gifts, special events, foundation grants, and planned gifts solicitation. In addition, this full-time, exempt position is responsible for supporting a strategic plan that develops a greater understanding of the nature of StLRS's impact, resulting in increased funding and participation in donor programs.

QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's degree in administration, development, communications, marketing, public relations, or a similar field. * Minimum of 5 years’ experience in fundraising with a non-profit organization. * Minimum of 5-7 years as a frontline development officer and successful proposal/grant writing experience. * Strong service orientation and must be able and willing to travel. * Valid driver's license to travel for presentations to potential foundations or potentially large donors. * Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills, including experience in preparing and delivering materials and presentations on topics that influence decision-makers at high levels of foundations, government agencies, corporations, and community organizations across diverse communities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * Share in and commit to the philosophy, mission, and values of St. Louise Resource Services. * Previous experience in endowments, annual campaigns, and capital campaigns is preferred. * Prefer working knowledge of Razors Edge database or similar donor database. * Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. * Experience interacting with senior leadership, colleagues, and volunteers. * Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team environment. * Able to facilitate interdisciplinary team decision-making and manage complex projects.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES: * Technical skills include strong written and verbal communications skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, Outlook, ability to apply knowledge of accounting and financial basics. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: * Create a channel and strategy to identify and engage foundations, corporations, and individuals to support St. Louise Resource Services. * Further, the mission, values, and purpose of StLRS, develop and prioritize fundraising goals, including 1-year, 5-year, etc. and revise as needed. * Write and develop grant proposals for government and foundation funds. Write stewardship reports for donors. * Develop fundraising collateral to support solicitation efforts and assist Executive Director with marketing and public relations strategies. * Meet with and develop long-term relationships with individuals and offer personalized strategies for giving. * Plan and implement donor cultivation program and annual direct mail campaign. * In collaboration with Executive Director, develop policies and procedures for the development department which reflect ethical fundraising practices. * Oversee the administration of a donor mailing list and database which respects the privacy and confidentiality of donor information. * Maintain careful records of receipts and account for the disbursement of all funds, and develop methods to track moves, deadlines, proposal submissions, meetings, and reports. * Actively participate in the executive management team by contributing suggestions, research, problem-solving, insight, and ideas. * Host prospect and donor tours; create opportunities for leadership to meet prospects and donors. * Participate in organizational and relevant community activities and events and act as a goodwill ambassador in the community for St. Louise Resource Services. * Adhere to St. Louise Resource Services policies and procedures and compliance guidelines. * Maintain up to date knowledge of philanthropic trends; create templates and presentations to educate and demonstrate best practices for colleagues, Board Members, and other leaders. * Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $66,560.00 - $87,360.00 per year
