Hybrid:This position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee's role enables them to work at a GM facility or off-site as frequently as needed or desired. This position requires an employee to be onsite 1-3 times per week.

Job Summary:

The Manager IT Business Analyst, will support the Global Purchasing, Supply Chain and Supplier Quality Business Technology Team. You will be responsible for partnering with business and IT customers to formulate multiyear product and technology roadmaps in key business process segments. Responsible for collaborator engagement across business and IT functions, portfolio planning and execution, facilitating requirements sessions, communicating requirements to Enterprise Solution Delivery and Test teams, and sharing deep business proven experience throughout the organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Subject matter expert in the business processes and supporting applications specifically within one or more of these areas of expertise: Purchasing, Supply Chain, Supply Chain Risk & Resiliency Management, and Supplier Quality
  • Understand adjacent business and solutions within Demand/Supply Planning, Logistics, Finance, Supplier Quality, and Sales
  • Formulate multiyear portfolio roadmaps with IT and business partners
  • Be responsible for the functional (business) requirements gathering and validation, functional design and documentation of solution components, configuration, and validation (testing) of the built solution
  • Collaborate with other team members on the design, development, testing, and deployment of solutions.
  • Lead and support projects as appropriate to support different SDLC methodologies available at GM (including Agile)
  • Ensure the solution has comprehensive testing approach and validation of end-to-end processes, guiding and working collaboratively with Quality Assurance teams
  • Support the introduction of new solutions to business customers as well as transitioning stable solutions to the sustain operations organization.
  • Work on multiple larger scale global and regional implementations as well as smaller, faster innovation challenges
  • Develop full understanding of the functional aspects of the supported applications including standard processes, bolt-on and customized solutions (including interfaces) across the Global Purchasing, Supply Chain and Supplier Quality eco system.
  • Provide Level-3 support, owning the troubleshooting of issues in production for the areas of functional expertise, working closely and coordinating investigation of problems with developers, Infrastructure and Operations teams.
  • Provide support to the business to investigate irregularities such as data missing from reports or unexpected status.
  • Demonstrate dedication to continuous learning and personal development, including on-going training and development in SLDC and the latest delivery techniques

Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience within Purchasing, Supply Chain or Supplier Quality spanning multiple areas of expertise:
    • Sourcing strategy development for new product programs
    • Managing sourcing plan execution
    • Program Purchasing/ Sourcing Metrics and Reporting
    • Part organizational change
    • Program material cost and risk reporting
    • Supervise contract-to-contract year-over-year changes in costs and risks
    • Supplier Risk Management
    • FMEA and supply chain risk modeling
    • Supply Chain Resiliency
    • Automotive Supplier Quality process in new product Introduction
    • Supplier Quality and performance management metrics and reporting
  • Excellent communication skills (English - written and spoken)
  • Business facing experience running requirement gathering workshops, solution design presentations, and conducting user training
  • 10+ years of proven experience in project management, requirements definition, process definition, testing, Portfolio Management, and IT strategy and roadmap development.
  • Experience delivering solutions in a regulated environment with internal and external standards (SOX, Internal controls, various country related legal requirements)
  • Structured and analytical thought process and approach to problem solving
  • Experience in applying requirements tools
  • Bachelor's degree required (technical subject area preferred) or equivalent experience. 10+ years in an applicable business environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Possess expertise in multiple following areas, Direct Material Purchasing, Supply Chain Risk & Resiliency Management, Supplier Performance Management or Supplier Quality.
  • Possess experience in adjacent business and solutions within Demand/Supply Planning, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Finance, Supplier Quality, and Sales
  • Master's Degree in Business, IT, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification
