The Managed Services Technician will be responsible for maintaining and supporting CAD Data management tools for a variety of companies in a consultative role. Tools include PTC’s Pro/Intralink, Windchill PDMLink and Windchill ProjectLink. The Technician will be expected to assist customers in their regular monthly maintenance activities, Windchill patches and troubleshooting issues.
Essential job functions
- Following the established project plan and Statement of Work (SOW), deliver and manage implementations of PTC data management tools, including Pro/Intralink, PDMLink and ProjectLink, on time and within budget
- Install and configure Windchill tools including 3rd party software as applicable to client solutions
- Maintain open and clear communication with clients during the timeframe of the SOW
- Provide Remote Administration of many customer Windchill environments – this to include but not limited to the following: system monitoring, reviewing systems logs for errors, review Oracle settings, system patches, clean up unreferenced files, maintenance build updates, performance tuning, and issue resolution.
- Provide customers with monthly status reports on system status.
Qualifications
Education and experience
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.
- Bachelor of Science degree in technical field (Computer Science, MIS, Engineering)
- Experience with Hardware, Software, Operating Systems, Troubleshooting etc.
- 0-2 year’s of experience managing product information or components of products with PTC tools
- 1-2 years system administrator experience (CAD, IT, Data Management)
Knowledge, skill and abilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Good organization and prioritization skills
- Ability to manage to deadlines and meet project and corporate goals
- Possess understanding of Product Data Management Business Processes
- Ability to work under pressure and while multitasking
Technologies
- Windchill PDMLink– Installation and System Maintenance a plus
