Mammography Technologist

Providence is calling a Mammography Technologist to Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, Oregon. This is a part-time (0.8 FTE or 32 hours per week), benefited position. Schedule is day shift on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (exact times to be determined).

We are seeking a Mammography Technologist who will perform mammography examinations according to physicians' orders, utilizing a variety of sophisticated mammography equipment, taking into account individual patient's special or age-related needs. Utilizes knowledge and judgment in regard to imaging factors, imaging technique, and patient treatment needed to produce optimal images.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position includes:

• Education to meet certification, license -OR- registration requirement
• Current certification by the American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
• Current ARRT certification in Mammography required upon hire, or within six (6) months of employment
• Current Oregon Licensure as an Registered Technologist, Radiography (RTR)
• Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Computer skills and knowledge of keyboard functionality
• Completion of pledge to Image Gently/Image Wisely within one month of hire
• Adherence to appropriate professional credentialing practice standards
