Overview:

Oasis Systems has an exciting opportunity for OASIS Systems, LLC has an exciting opportunity for an Maintenance Trade Helper to support The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Corona (NSWCCO) Division Measurement Science and Engineering Department, Interface Engineering & Assessment Division is the Navy's research, development, test, and evaluation process, providing independent assessment for nearly 50 years. Today, NSWCCO Division is the Navy's premiere independent assessment agent responsible for gauging the warfighting capability of Navy ships and aircraft by assessing weapons and integrated combat systems' performance, readiness, quality, and supportability throughout the system's entire life cycle.
LOCATION: Corona, CA JOB STATUS: Open November 5th

TRAVEL: occasional travel


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Certifications, Experience, Skills)

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.CERTIFICATIONS: n/aEXPERIENCE LEVEL: Must have at least 0-3 year of related experience, Science & Math College Credits Preferred or Vocational Training.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • Minimum High School Diploma; Science & Math College Credits Preferred or Vocational Training.
  • MUST be a U. S. Citizen, able to acquire and maintain any DOD security clearance (Background Check required).
  • Must have great interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail is a must.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrate cost effective manufacturing solutions in accordance with customer or system requirements.
  • All actions are subject to regular reviews/audits by Quality Assurance personnel to ensure strict adherence to established procedures and/or processes.
  • Follow strict Hazmat and Safety policy guidance and adherence to established procedures and/or processes.

Key Competencies:
  • Knowledge of machining, tooling and manufacturing theories and practices (including shop mathematics and standard handbook formulas).
  • Ability to work with a high degree of manual skill and work within close tolerances.
  • Ability to use standard machine shop tools (screwdrivers, drills, pliers wrenches, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings of varying quality and specificity are necessary including knowledge of ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing.
  • Ability to perform measurements using standard measuring instruments.
  • Ability to interpret Coordinate Measuring Machine output data and inspection reports.
  • Ability to make a judgments and decisions within the framework of oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to Prioritize and multi-task.
  • Excellent Communication skills - written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Self-starter, Team player and conscientious worker.
