Maintenance Technician - Night Shift

This position is part of Cepheid Diagnostics and will be located in Newark, CA.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Work closely with Production and Engineering groups to monitor equipment status and performance
• Document all repairs and the appropriate adjustments made in Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Assess the equipment’s performance and repair history and work with engineers to plan a preventative maintenance schedule as well as work on equipment upgrades

The essential requirements of the job include:

• High School degree (or equivalent experience) with 4-6 years of related work experience or AA or Technical Trade Degree with 2-4 years of related work experience
• Must have solid understanding of interpreting manuals and schematics and have strong knowledge in mechanical alignment and the troubleshooting of automated mechanical, electrical and pneumatic equipment
• Familiarity with electrical/electronic components, Automation, Robotics, Sensors, Fiber Optics and motors
