This Position:

The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the company goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
  • Perform mechanic skills including but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic. Perform typical maintenance tasks to support the maintenance department and the facility.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Must be able to read and interpret drawings, sketches, instructions and engineered drawings.
  • Perform a variety of plumbing, carpentry and janitorial functions.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
  • Must be able to follow established methods and procedures and be comfortable working in a team environment.
  • Assists the Industrial Safety and Compliance Officer with the hazardous waste disposal program.
  • Will be required to perform non-maintenance duties as requested, directed or assigned.
  • Must be forklift trained and certified.
  • Must at all time follow proper lockout/tagout procedures.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or its equivalent required with 0-4 years experience in related field.
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Have a safety mindset.
  • Must be able to complete tasks as directed with minimal supervision.
  • Must be available to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
