MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN / ENGINEER
- Full-Time

PLEASE – DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS JOB UNLESS YOU SPEAK/READ/WRITE ENGLISH WELL, ARE A U.S. CITIZEN, ARE ENERGETIC, HANDS ON, AND A MAINTENANCE WIZARD WITH ELECTRICAL, MECHANICAL, AND CONTROLS EXPERIENCE!
An aerospace metal finishing company just south of Los Angeles is looking for a seasoned, hands-on maintenance person who has experience with and is comfortable building and maintaining all types of industrial systems. The qualified applicant will be a “Jack of all Trades" who has successfully built and/or repaired plastic and metal piping systems (up to 6"), centrifugal and pneumatic pumps, electrical panels, breakers, switchgear (1 and 3 phase / 24VAC/DC through 460VAC), hot water boiler systems, glycol chillers, and controls. Ideally, the applicant would be able to solder, braze, and weld stainless and carbon steels – itanium would be a plus. The qualified applicant can read blueprints and circuit diagrams, use a multimeter, velometer, tachometer, FLIR unit, sockets, wrenches, pipe/conduit threader/bender, drills, saws, etc. The qualified applicant will know what an FRL is, understand pressure drops across components in fluid piping systems, gages and controllers, and you wouldn't balk at pulling a 40HP compressor out of a chilled water system and installing a new one. You know what to do when your motor is rotating backwards, and you aren't afraid of working on/near tanks full of acid or caustic solutions. You can use MS Word or MS Excel to create/maintain equipment history records. PLC knowledge isn't required but is a plus. You are one of the few guys/gals out there whose equipment talks to them - an equipment whisperer - and you know how to listen and understand it. Finally, when you have the plant built and running like a Swiss watch, you will be trained and work in aerospace metal finishing - anodize, electropolish, chem film, etc. - adding a few more skills to your already extensive list.
There are not that many hands-on engineers/maintenance techs that can do all of this, but if you are one of them and are willing to talk through your experience as we walk through our plant, please APPLY.
