SIGMADESIGN has collaborated with a global company seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their facility in Gresham, OR. This company has been operating for over 50 years and is recognized as the world’s leading synthetic diamond and super-materials producer. Primary Function:
Join the Engineering and Maintenance group as part of a team tasked with maintaining CVD diamond and associated manufacturing equipment. This will be a hands-on role with a large amount of interaction with the site’s Equipment Engineers.

Shift Options :

  • Sunday -Tuesday 10 AM – 10 PM OR 10 PM – 10 AM, Wednesday (6 hour shift)
  • Thursday – Saturday 10 AM – 10 PM OR 10 PM – 10 AM, Wednesday (6 hour shift)
  • Daily overtime offered after 10 hours

Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative, corrective and diagnostic maintenance proficiently on CVD reactor technology
  • Utilize diagnostic equipment to monitor equipment performance, diagnose root cause and make reliability improvement recommendations.
  • Dismantle, adjust and repair equipment according to maintenance specifications
  • Use schematics, hand tools, electrical gauges and common test equipment for calibration, diagnosis and repair of equipment.
  • Write and recommend improvements to maintenance procedures and specifications.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
  • Assignments are semi-routine in nature with work performed within generally defined parameters.

Education and Experience: (Knowledge, skills, & abilities)

  • H.S. Diploma or GED required. Associates Degree highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 1+ years of recent and relevant experience required.
  • Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams and mechanical prints
  • Hands-on troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs
  • Strong written and verbal English language communication skills.
  • Excellent teamwork/interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, both within and outside one's own work group

Work Environment
Standard manufacturing environment with various types of equipment. Appropriate safety garments (PPE) must be worn. Meeting the physical, mental and behavioral expectations of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation is an essential function of this position.
