Hours: 2nd shift - Monday through Friday - 4:00pm to 12:30am

Pay: $25.00 to $30.00 commensurate with experience
The Maintenance Technician II reports directly to the Maintenance Manager. The Maintenance Technician II will support production operations, maintenance of existing equipment and the implementation of new machinery in order to drive continuous
improvement in product quality and process efficiency. Also will performs inspections and preventive, corrective & emergency maintenance and other maintenance/mechanical repair of all equipment to ensure a safe operational status and over all safety.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (functions considered essential as defined by ADA)
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems using schematics, technical drawings and maintenance manuals.
Independently troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and install a range of equipment from low DC voltage to 120v – 480v AC high voltage circuits, motor controls, control logic, make minor program changes on VFD’s, and troubleshoot by power wiring.
Must be able to troubleshoot 3 phase motors and gearboxes. Understanding about sprockets and chains.
Must be able to troubleshoot and ensure safe operational status of all forklifts and yard dog.
Must provide the necessary tools and instruments to independently perform any tasks at hand.
Perform all repairs on belt conveyors, roller conveyors, turn tables, paint sprayer both airless and diaphragm pumps, Inspect/replace belts, hoses and pipes as needed and other warehouse power equipment to ensure availability and safe operation.
Carry out preventive maintenance programs for all machines and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient operation.
Must maintain a daily work log on repairs on all equipment.
Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area, overall cleanliness and organization of maintenance shop.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
Understand levels of line downtime caused by equipment issues and associated points of cause.
Assist in inspection and upkeep of machinery and equipment
Adhering to all safety policies, including proper LOTO procedures.
Checking for proper guarding of all machinery in departments on a daily basis.
Look for any visible wear or defects on machinery daily.
Checking for proper oil level & proper lubrication of all machines.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Required:
2-3 years of experience in maintenance field; combination of education and experience may be considered.
Flexibility to work any shift, weekends, holidays, and overtime as scheduled.
Electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting knowledge, welding, machining, metal fabrication, plumbing.
Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds to move objects.
Ability to work off ground level with proper safety equipment.
The ability to work in a dusty, dirty and non-air-conditioned environment.
Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
Preferred:
Technical degree
3-5 industrial maintenance experience
Basic computer skills
Experience in a fast pace industrial maintenance department
Experience:
Maintenance Technician: 2 – 3 years (Preferred)
Electrical Technician: 1 - 2 years (Preferred)
