We are a custom seafood processor and our customers require good manufacturing and sanitation practices along with great attention to detail.

What Will Be Expected

This is a fast-paced job that requires you to stand and work in a cold and wet environment. The temperature inside of the processing area may vary in range and can be as low as 40 degrees.

Maintenance Mechanic Duties:

  • Perform special construction projects as it relates to interior building and equipment demolition, installs, and upgrades within facility
  • Provide emergency or unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.
  • Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
  • Detect malfunction and diagnose problems and repair machinery.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals to perform required maintenance.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Disassemble defective machinery and equipment and install new or repaired parts.
  • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
  • Assemble, install, and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
  • Complete work order requests and sign-off and return once finished.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines and equipment as scheduled.
  • Repair and maintain physical structure of establishment.
  • Install programs or repairs automated machinery and equipment; such as, laser printers or programmable controllers.
  • Set-up and operate machine tools; such as, lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Drive forklift and scissor lift and move machinery in a safe manner.
  • Convert machinery for different types of product.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule

We need people who can meet the attendance requirements which may include weekend work and overtime. You must be willing and able to work extended hours and weekends, which may include both Saturday and Sunday, in peak periods.

Candidates must be able to work between the below hours.

Available Shifts:
Shift 1: 4:00 am - 4:00 pm
Shift 2: 3:00 pm - 3:00 am

Hours can extend past these times and workers are expected to work until the job is finished.

Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand constantly; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk and climb stairs. The employee must regularly lift and or move between 25-50 lbs. and occasionally lift between 50-75 lbs. Some positions may require heavier lifting.

Work Environment The employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.


Required Experience:

  • Prefer previous instruction or experience in hydraulics, pneumatics & electrical
  • 2 years of experience in a Manufacturing Maintenance position
  • Experience with programming machinery and equipment.
  • Experience with PLC, motor drives, and control systems is desirable.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals to perform required maintenance.
  • Experience with project management
