We are currently searching for a Warehouse Maintenance Mechanic to join our growing team. This position will be responsible for having electromechanical skills, troubleshooting skills with PLC controls, servos, and other discrete electrical control components. Must have the ability to connect a maintenance PC to a PLC and step through and understand the PLC program to troubleshoot complex controls failures, and make minor code changes under the Maintenance Manager. In addition, this position performs maintenance and repair on all aspect of the facility including but not limited to conveyors, forklifts, industrial batteries, building electrical up to 480VAC, plumbing, basic carpentry and general building maintenance. Also, assists the Maintenance Manager and coordinates production to resolve equipment issues, p.m. scheduling, making equipment improvements as necessary.Responsibilities:

Leads the complex maintenance tasks, equipment trial runs, investigative tests, repairs and overhauls. Performs complex product and service training to customers. Performs complex maintenance on tools, test equipment, etc. Completes documents of all inspections, maintenance and repair work, and failures; reviews maintenance logs and work orders of junior techs. Mentors junior techs. Leads the resolution of complex equipment/system failures & faults and interfaces with customer personnel to provide quality service and feedback on problem evaluation and resolution. Performs assessment of complex product/equipment performance based on field support data and recommends modifications or improvements.


Performs preventative maintenance & repair on all facility equipment such as conveyors, forklifts, industrial batteries, carton sealers, dock levelers and dock doors, shrink wrap machines, printers, HVAC equipment, hydraulic Pneumatic, building plumbing & electrical, etc. in an efficient and proper manner.
Handles daily routine of changing, watering, and charging of facility forklift batteries and daily cardboard baler maintenance-tie, takeout and cleanup. Also, performs daily, weekly, monthly and yearly routine inspection on all facility safety and fire suppression system such as fire pump, fire sprinkler system, alarm monitoring system, fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, racking, fall protection equipment, equipment checklist, etc. in an efficient and proper manner. Troubleshoots to diagnose source of failure.
Assists the Maintenance Manager with repairs, preventative maintenance scheduling, parts inventory and purchases and projects as required.
Maintains a safe work environment, perform job functions safely and reports any potential job hazards to management. Maintains good housekeeping practices in assigned areas. Works on all facility appliances including hot water heaters, sinks and stopped toilets Build desks / workstations, run cables and set up PC’s as needed or assigned.
Performs all other duties as requested by management.Qualifications:
  • Successfully demonstrates thorough/ advanced knowledge of a technical or specialty area.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent plus technical trade school preferred
  • Minimum 5 years maintenance mechanic experience required
  • Robotic equipment preferred
  • Mechanically inclined skills with intermediate electronic/electrical knowledge of hand and power tools, and general building maintenance in the areas of plumbing, painting and carpentry
  • Computer knowledge and warehouse management systems knowledge preferred
  • Detail-oriented
  • Good trouble shooting skills
  • May provide general guidance to others and train lower level employees.
  • Team player and must be flexible
  • Leadership skills a plus

The work environment involves high risks with exposure to potentially dangerous situations or unusual environmental stress, which require a range of safety and other precautions.

The position requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing; walking; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as shipment or record boxes. The work may require specific, but common, physical characteristics and abilities such as above-average agility and dexterity.

The work requires considerable and strenuous physical exertion such as frequent climbing of tall ladders; lifting heavy objects over 50 pounds, crouching or crawling or strenuous physical exertion.

Must be able to drive all PIT and scissor lift equipment and able to work at various heights.
This position at various times be working outside in inclement weather (Rain, snow, wind, removing ice, repair roof, etc.).
