Your Challenge!Reporting to the Production Manager, the Maintenance Lead’s mission is to be responsible for all outcomes associated with the maintenance of his/her area: Ensures communication between operations and maintenance and correct prioritization for maintenance activities and manages defects / failures. Also provides support to the Asset Owner and Process Lead Job ResponsibilitiesProvides maintenance requirements for weekly work schedule, defining requirements for planned work
  • Schedules the planning meetings for planned shutdowns
  • Participates in RCFA analyses and helps to define the actions to be taken
  • Actively supervises jobs on his/her line during shutdowns in collaboration with the maintenance

  • Monitoring of mechanical / electrical / reliability / operational jobs. Monitors modification projects in
  • his/her area.
  • Assists with post-shutdown starts-ups.
  • Participates in maintenance planning meetings to determine which jobs are a priority and which should be planned for the following week
  • Takes action on the points that concern him/her following reliability meetings as well as 4h+ meetings;
  • often needs to define new operational procedures to resolve the problem (operational side)
  • Initiates formal root cause failure analysis effort for his/her line.
  • Collects and reports historical data needed to perform reliability process and develop maintenance
  • strategies for his/her line.
  • Assists Asset Owner in the determination of critical equipment.
  • In coordination with maintenance, periodically reviews and adjusts Preventive and Predictive
  • Maintenance parameters based upon new information and historical data, adjusting frequency of
  • activity, clarifying tasks, eliminating redundant steps, etc.
  • Plays an active role in the day to day execution and documentation of preventive and predictive
  • maintenance jobs in his/her line.
  • Ensures that notifications are put in, justified, and understood for requested outcome. If relevant work,
  • ensures it is to be scheduled in his/her line following planning and scheduling procedure.

  • During the LCT meeting (T2): helps to define plan for the next 24 hours, takes the lead on prioritizing actions pertaining to maintenance
Daily Management Systems (DMS) responsibilities
  • Defect handling (DH)
o Defines standard processes and tools to handle maintenance-related defects, shares best practices with the other Maintenance Leads
o Advise maintenance-related defects for the daily break-in meeting for potentially actionable same-day work. Follow up on status during End of Day meeting.
o Ensures the process is executed according to defined standards and continuously improves that process based on lessons learned
o Trains / coaches the operators to correct and prevent defects
  • Breakdown elimination (BDE)
o Leads a weekly discussion point during the LCT meeting (DRS T2) once weekly dedicated to breakdowns, where he/she presents the status of the situation and ongoing analyses (6W-2H)
o Defines standard processes and tools to analyze and eliminate recurring breakdowns, shares best practices with the other Maintenance Leads
o Ensures RCFAs are executed according to defined standards and continuously improves that process based on lessons learned. Develops action items, owners, and follows through to completion of each RCFA.
o Monitoring of selected repair path
o Supports the operators in solving problems that have caused breakdowns
  • Systematic data collection on a problem-solving sheet
  • Identification of the root cause of the breakdown (6W-2H analysis)
  • Definition of countermeasures (for instance working order issuing, creation of an engineering project, update of an inspection sheet, modification of a centerline)

RequirementsA minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in industrial maintenance or equivalent education.
  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read and use schematics related to Stock Prep process.
  • Must be safety, quality, productivity and team-work oriented
  • Able to work at a fast pace, stable under pressure and organized, while staying within safety rules and regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, listen, present ideas, and lead discussions.
  • Ability to work in a team and independent settings, identify opportunities, and implement solutions.
  • Must be in good standing with the company, with attendance and safety
  • Good organizational skills
  • Must be willing and able to cross-train others
  • Must be willing and flexible to be available onsite even on short notice
  • Must be willing to participate in teamwork to do procedures, health and safety work teams, and other problem-solving projects
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs in a stretching manner. Position involves physical work including lifting and repetitive bending.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, SAP
