Summary:Prioritizes and assigns all non-emergency Maintenance Work Requests, keeps an up-to-date log of all of work requests, and works with the Maintenance Staff to schedule and complete this work.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Receives, prioritizes, assigns, and closes out all non-emergency work requests.
- Compiles a list of work requiring a piece of equipment, line, or mixer to be down to repair.
- Daily contacts Packaging and Mixing Supervision to identify if a line or mixer will be down that day.
- Tracks work orders in progress to ensure priority work gets done in a timely manner.
- Periodically meets with Maintenance Team Captain to review and prioritize open work orders.
- Reports monthly completion rates of PM’s.
- Monitors equipment downtime, investigates repeat items, and follows up with work orders to permanently resolve issues.
- Initiates purchase orders for parts and equipment, and for replenishing inventory.
- Ensure documents are current to be audit ready.
- Makes recommendations to improve PM service from reoccurring issues noticed in maintenance downtime logs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- 2-5 years’ Planner/Scheduler experience.
- The ideal candidate will have working knowledge and experience with Maintenance CMMS software.
- Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out detailed oral or written instructions.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Must be willing to learn and grasp new software quickly.
- Ability to read and interpret documents and procedure manuals.
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions given in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Must be good with numbers.
