POSITION SUMMARY
Perform preventative machine maintenance, machine set-ups, troubleshoot and repair machines, and assist with routine building infrastructure maintenance while following standard work methods and practicing safe work habits.
Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Troubleshoot electrical and electronic malfunctions to the board or part.
  • Prepare change-over and set up machinery for scheduled production runs.
  • Repair and maintain the operating condition of production and processing machinery and equipment.
  • Study blueprints and manufacturers' manuals to determine required maintenance, service, and operation of machinery.
  • Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment in order to diagnose malfunctions.
  • Perform regularly scheduled preventative maintenance (P.M.) such as cleaning, lubricating or adjusting parts for production and facilities equipment and machinery.
  • Analyze test results, machine error messages and information obtained from operators in order to diagnose equipment problems.
  • Record repairs and maintenance performed.
  • Record parts and materials used and order or requisition new parts and materials as necessary to maintain adequate stock.
  • Cut and weld metal to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts or assemble new equipment using machine shop lathes, grinders and drills.
  • Demonstrate equipment functions and features to machine operators.
  • Enter codes and instructions to program computer-controlled machinery.
  • Perform general infrastructure repair using carpentry, plumbing, and painting skills.

Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education:
A minimum of High School Graduation or General Education Degree (GED) required
Electronics Associates degree preferred

Experience: Two to four years related experience required

Computer Skills: Basic Computer Skills

Certificates & Licenses:
Forklift Operation Training (Company Provided)
Valid RI Driver’s License

Other Requirements:
Must have own hand tools
Hazard Communication Training (Company Provided)
Lock Out Tag Out Training (Company Provided)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
