Machine Operator

Job purpose

Operation of machinery on the production floor

Duties and responsibilities

• Adhere to Work Order at each machine

o Follow production procedures

• Ensure that machines are producing quality products per the Work Order

o Report any deficiencies from quality standards to Supervisor or Machine Attendant

• Maintain a neat and orderly work area

• Safely operate production equipment based on Work Order directions

• Clean up work cell area during and at the end of the shift

• Complete production and inspection forms as required

• Maintain good attendance, and practice safe work habits

• Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

• Ability to read and understand job Work Orders
• Ability to lift and carry objects up to 35-50 lbs.
• Self motivated with attention to detail
• Education - None

Working conditions

Position will typically be scheduled for 8 hour shifts. Expected work load is 40-50 hours a week. Position may also require weekend work.

Physical requirements

The position can be physically demanding. Successful candidate may be required to stand for extended periods of time, lift heavy objects on a regular basis and do repetitive tasks.
