Summary:

U.S. Water is offering an internship opportunity to a highly motivated MBA candidate in support of its Merger & Acquisition (M&A) and project finance teams. The selected intern will be provided with extensive hands-on experience working remotely alongside a small team of experienced professionals. The ideal candidate must be motivated with excellent communication and organizational skills, able to work independently, have a solid proficiency in building and reviewing complex financial models, and have a corporate finance and/or accounting background. This position will average 10-15 hours per week during a 3-4 month engagement. A successful internship may lead to a full-time position.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and review financial statements, reports, and models for accuracy and research any material discrepancies
  • Prepare and maintain spreadsheets and reports.
  • Assist in preparation of financial models.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work under the pressure of deadlines.
  • Strong analytic and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and willingness to sign and follow Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA's)

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • Accounting/Finance work experience
  • Education:
    • Current enrollment in an MBA program, with Finance or accounting Concentration or Master's Degree in Accounting or Finance (Required)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Focused and disciplined self-starter. This is a work-from-home/remote position. Applicants in EST zone preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Skills, particularly Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Currently enrolled in an MBA Program

Compensation and Benefits: Opportunity to receive credit toward degree obtainment in exchange for performing in this advanced internship role. The internship will be a non-exempt hourly paid position not eligible for employee benefits due to the temporary nature of the role. Payroll is processed on a bi-weekly basis.
