LREC Program Management and Academic Specialist (LMAS) for Operations ManagementMinimum Qualifications Summary

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in any field; at least 3 years’ experience managing operations for a language program that instructs 1,000 or more students annually
  • experience creating and maintaining class schedule for online classes in excess of 100 concurrent classes
  • experience managing large number of remote instructors
  • Must have an understanding of instructor’s skills and abilities for appropriate class placement
  • experience monitoring online classes and performing helpdesk functions
  • experience with teacher training
  • experience managing complex, multiple task orders concurrently
  • experience as English editor to review POI and authentic materials validity
  • must have training on the ILR in order to accurately be able to discern the ILR level of content regardless of language modality
  • prior experience performing tasks identified in paragraph 3.2.2
  • meet qualification requirements in the base IDIQ SOW Addendum 1
  • This position will require at a minimum a NACI


All SOFTS instructor and management staff. In addition to IDIQ Addendum 1 para. 2.4.3 and Table 4.1 above, all SOFTS instructors and management staff will have:
  • CL-150 certified, knowledge of Joint Language University (JLU), GLOSS, and other online military software and training support sites such as the Defense Language Institute Field Support Site, the TRADOC Culture Center Site, Joint Knowledge Online, or the Center for Advanced Operational Culture site

The Contractor shall provide operations management support directly for the SOFLO SOFTS Language Program Manager. Support shall consist of, but is not limited to, the following general responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain class schedule for online classes
  • Manage remote instructors
  • Evaluate instructors’ skills and abilities for appropriate class placement
  • Monitor online classes and Help Desk functions. Respond to Help Desk requests for assistance expeditiously
  • Conduct teacher training on SOFTS
  • Assist in managing complex task
  • Assist in managing all aspects of SOFTS LREC instructors teaching and materials development and day to day operations
  • Review and edit POI and authentic materials for validity.
  • Assess and analyze LREC classes to enhance effectiveness of language and culture acquisition
