We are currently seeking a dynamic Licensed Practical Nurse to join our medical team within our Richmond Hill Facility in Richmond Hill, NY.
In this role you will:
The Licensed Practical Nurse-LPN will support providers in provision of care including recording vital signs, discussing chief health concerns, performing testing, assisting with procedures and documentation. Assesses, plans, evaluates and delivers nursing care in collaboration with RN and/or Physician. This work is carried out in support of the mission and goals of Samaritan Daytop Village.
What qualifications do you need:
- This Position Requires a Minimum of 6 months Dispensing Methadone.
- NYS LPN licensure.
- BLS certification.
- High School or GED.
- Graduate of a formal Technical or Vocational LPN Program.
- At least One (1) year experience as an LPN working with clients with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and/or Serious Mental Illness (SMI).
- Available to work a flexible schedule as needed in response to participant and staff needs.
- Computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EMR.
- Ability to put patients at ease and explain physician’s instructions.
- Ability to multi-task with excellent organization skills.
