Position Summary: This is a highly advanced nursing position that provides accurate assessment (ie subjective input, objective skills, random drug screenings) of patients for entry into the OTP (Opioid Treatment Program) This position requires the ability to build professional, empathic and caring and supportive relationships within the scope of the nursing profession. This position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team under the supervision of the Vice President of MAT programs, Program Manager OTP and the Medical Director
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate from a school of practical nursing meeting minimum standards of the Florida Board of Nursing and has and maintains an active Licensed Practical Nursing License. Substance Abuse or Psychiatric Experience in an addictions setting is preferred, but not required
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Must possess above average computer skills and be able to retrieve/input data. Documents all services provided in a timely and accurate manner, consistent with center policy and procedures and best practice standards. Perform accurate withdrawal symptom assessments Must ensure that all requirements are maintained for patients for dosing, take homes, call backs, drug screens, and assists the counselors in encouraging attendance for daily dosing and counseling sessions. Must have the ability to communicate effectively on the telephone. Monitors supply and informs appropriate staff in a timely manner when stock needs to be replenished -at least 2weeks before new stock will be needed This position; including the physical demands, knowledge, skills, and abilities requirements can be completed with or without reasonable accommodation.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
