Summary:

The substitute teacher responsible for the full schedule of the classroom teacher. This includes, but is not limited to implementing the lesson plan created for the sub, yard duty supervision and other daily duties performed by the classroom teacher. The substitute teacher is to:

• Implement the daily instructional lesson plans of the classroom teacher in an effective manner.
• Maintain a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth.
• Establish effective rapport with pupils while maintaining proper classroom management.
• Work effectively with the building administrator and other teachers to minimize any potential transitional problems from the teacher to substitute and substitute to teacher.

QUALIFICATIONS

Valid California Teaching Credential (Single Subject, Multiple Subject or Emergency 30-Day Substitute) OR have a Bachelor's degree AND are willing to take the CBEST OR have a Bachelor's degree and you passed the SAT Math with a score of 550 or higher and English with a score of 500 or higher.

• CPR/First Aid certification would be a plus
