- Handle incoming and outgoing phone calls to waiver and Long Term-Personal Care Services (LT-PCS) requestors and participants
- Complete eligibility screening for LDH/OAAS programs
- Use approved databases to input and update requestor’s and participant’s information and track application process for LDH long-term program options
- Perform per and post assessment tasks related to LOCET mailing and follow-up
- Make appropriate referrals for non-OAAS community services
- Participate in appeals hearings
- Participate in continuous quality improvement (CQI) process
- Provide consultation and assistance with application processes
- Participate in on-going departmental and Conduent training activities
- Handle TTD/TTY (telecommunications for the hearing impaired) assistance calls
- Provide prompt, professional customer service to ensure that all necessary information is covered and gathered from requestors/participants in a clear, consistent, and professional manner
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services field (i.e., Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Nursing, or Social Work)
- Knowledge of Health Care preferred
- Medicaid experience strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of and experience in any of the following desired:
Office of Aging and Adult Services (OAAS)
Bureau of Health Services Financing (BHSF)
Louisiana Department of Health (LDH)
Office of Citizens with Developmental Disabilities (OCDD)
