Job Title: Logistics Specialist Department/Job: ARSOF Reports to: Sr. Program Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt Position Type: Full Time; Hours vary

General Purpose/Summary/Objective:

The Logistics Specialist will support ARSOF with Training Support by providing exercise management, role player, subject matter expertise and training support for assessment, selection, and training conducted by 1st Special Warfare Training Group (SWTG) and the United States Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School (USAJFKSWCS) with training support for Special Forces (SF), Civil Affairs (CA), Military Information Support Operations (MISO) Qualification Courses, and other ARSOF courses, in support of field and situational training exercises.

Essential Functions:
  • Warehouse logistics
  • Track all inventory and supplies used for training exercises
  • Knowledgeable of process of inventory and logistic support
  • Manage warehouse operations
  • Communicate via FM, HF, and/or Motorola type radio IAW Army communications procedures and medical evacuation procedures
  • Sending, receive, and record FM and HF communications traffic
Work Environment:
This job operates in a warehouse and professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and other standard office equipment. You may be required to operate government-owned automobiles, cargo vans, and trucks up to 24 feet with an approximate gross weight of up to 10,000 pounds to transport supplies, equipment and related cargo on an as-needed basis

Physical Demands:
  • Required to frequently sit, stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Required to reach with hands and arms
  • Required to frequently move ten pounds; occasionally lift or move up to twenty-five pounds
  • Exposure to hot conditions (over 90 degrees)
  • Exposure to cold conditions (below 32 degrees)
  • Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions
  • Required to perform in both rural and urban environments
  • The noise level in the work environment varies
  • See details of objects that are less than a few feet away
  • Understand the speech of another person
  • Speak clearly so listeners can understand
  • Must be able to read, write and understand English

Travel:
Travel to CONUS locations in support of the mission as required by the company and/or the customer. Requirements/Qualifications:
Must be a former 92A Automated Logistical Specialist, 92Y Unit Supply Specialist, equitable Military Occupational Specialty (MOS), or equitable civilian experience and/or certification who are subject matter experts on all aspects for warehouse logistical operations.
Certified to operate electric, gasoline, and liquid propane powered forklift trucks to move, stack, and load material in and about warehouses, storage areas, loading docks, and vehicles
HAZMAT certification.
Preferred Experience:
3 years of experience as site or area support
Experience as a SWTG instructor
3 to 5 years of management experience
Competencies:
Able to use Windows based operating systems: MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel.
Familiar with portal-based systems.
Prepare and use multi-media products in support of platform instruction.
Familiar with FM, HF, and/or Motorola type radio IAW Army communications procedures and medical evacuation procedures Work Authorizations/Security Clearance:
Must hold and maintain a Secret clearance.
