Job Description
Summary

The Logistics Specialist is responsible for the accurate receiving, storing, and shipping of inventory while upholding the highest degree of safety, quality, and delivery. This position reports to the Operations Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment
  • Complete and drive 5S/Lean Manufacturing actions within the scope
  • Uphold quality standards and policies
  • Ensure shipments are shipped correctly and on-time
  • Ensures correct export documentation is completed
  • Complete tasks in a timely manner insuring OTD (On-time Delivery) of finished goods
  • Ensure inventory accuracy by abiding by policies and procedures
  • Receiving and shipping of goods
  • Maintain an orderly and correct shipping log
  • Maintain correct export documentation
  • Stocking of received goods to correct location
  • Picking parts to complete orders
  • Creation of proforma invoices, shipping letters of instruction and shippers export declarations, etc.
  • Works closely with shipping companies to resolve issues to include customs when shipping internationally
Experience
  • 2-3 years of shipping, receiving, and material handler experience
  • 0-1 years of inventory management
  • Experience working in a manufacturing setting
Education
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Technical certification or equivalent work experience

  • Ability to complete task safely and independently
  • Basic computer and Microsoft Suite skills

Work Environment

Employees will be working in a manufacturing environment. Employee's task may require repetitive use of small hand tools, soldering, and other like instruments. Tasks may require extended periods of sitting, standing, reaching, and walking.
