Job Description

Job Summary

TA Services is looking for a Logistics Sales Manager that will oversee a team of Inside Sales Coordinators (approx. 5-7.) This position reports to the Vice President of Sales.

Responsibilities

The Manager of Business Development will perform the following along with, or to support, the General Manager:

  • Develop Sales Coordinators’ industry and sales knowledge, including pipeline development, closing business, managing accounts, spot market pricing, etc.
  • Set profit goals for the team and maintain a culture of accountability
  • Interview sales candidates to meet hiring and headcount goals
  • Ability to easily communicate the value of service offerings of the division
  • Lead client-site visits/develop Sales Coordinators’ outside sales capabilities
  • Work with other departments, including Pricing, Legal, Account Management, etc. to ensure client needs are met

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3+ years of logistics inside sales experience
  • Demonstrated success selling a combination of service offerings (truckload, LTL, intermodal, expedited, etc.)
  • Sales management experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

Supplemental Pay:

  • Logistics: 3 years (Preferred)
