Job Description

Louis Vuitton North America is looking for a Logistics Project Manager that will partner with the current IT, Supply Chain, Logistics, Retail and Digital teams. We are seeking an individual to deploy and maintain a reliable solution for Last Mile/Premium deliveries to customers from all our stores plus Digital and Omni-channel orders. This new service will revolution the client experience from a delivery perspective and keep Louis Vuitton ahead of the competition. This solution must consider all product categories including large crated items and should be available nationwide within reasonable geographic areas. The implementation process must include the vetting of available vendors and the definition of the core services and expectations from these vendors. This role will also entail the growth and development of the vendor(s) selected including quarterly reviews, reporting, billing, environmental solutions, etc.

Candidate should be self-motivated and resourceful, possessing the ability to complete a task without any extra instruction other than that which was given at the beginning of the task. The candidate must be technologically inclined and be able to challenge the status quo where appropriate.



Profile Deployment Phase
  • Plan and execute tender process for Last Mile/White Glove logistics service providers or similar process to vet the existing vendors in the market.
  • Propose project scope, budget, organization, team and resources, schedule
  • Identify dependencies and constraints, risks.
  • Coordinates workgroup, team members, third-party contractors and consultants including our retail community and relevant corporate teams.
  • Coordinate efforts between IT, Digital, Logistics, Retail and vendors to offer the best customer experience.
  • Follow budget, deliveries planning and KPI's and animate project meetings, steering committees .
  • Contribute to deliverables production (analysis, business cases, procedures, specifications writing, IS evolutions requests, internal communication through meeting documents .).
  • Identify needs and ensure success of change management (training, communication).
  • Evaluate the project delivery, on time, in full, at cost.
  • Evaluate benefits on mid and long term use.
Post Implementation
  • Manage store relationships when it comes to Last Mile/White Glove providing relevant and reliable information (delivery lead time, order follow up, etc.).
  • Resolve and respond to Logistics Tickets.
  • Provide immediate support regarding shipments via email/phone.
  • Relay store requests to appropriate department (Distribution Center, Sales Admin, Supply Chain, etc.).
  • Manage performance of Last Mile/White Glove transportation vendor(s) and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor Premium delivery usage related to Digital and stores orders and follow up on cost per delivery.
  • Be responsible for activity continuity, accurate traceability and according reporting.
  • Ensure collaboration with peers.
  • Apply company rules and guidelines in day to day activities.
  • Define action plans to improve processes, methods and tools.
  • Encourage the implementation of environmentally conscious alternatives when appropriate.
  • Monitor and anticipate vendor payment process to avoid service disruptions.
  • Supervise & validate transportation invoicing and close disputes with carriers.
  • Participate to solving claims from customers related to transportation.
  • Ensure compliance with all required documentations to support .transportation flows (product documents, import/export).
  • Work with the logistics and finance departments to simplify invoicing, payments and reconciliation processes for all vendors within the department. Put in place tools to have full visibility on spends and budget follow up for all vendors and flows.
  • Liaise with the IS&T and DCs teams to ensure all needed reports are triggered properly and propose improvements where applicable.
