Logistics Manager Manufacturing Operations

Our Logistics Manager is the central point of contact for scheduling shipments based on availability of finished goods. This position oversees the functions of the shipping department and works closely with the Plant Manager and Production Supervisor(s) to ensure that orders are shipped complete and on time to our customers.

Primary Functions

Supervise and coordinate shipping activities of workers engaged in verifying and keeping records on outbound shipments.

Plan LTL and multi-stop TL with Logistics team to ensure on time delivery and mitigate damages in transit.

Collaborate with Plant Manager and Production on load planning with a rolling 3-to-5-day plan of action.

Manage paperwork including but not limited to; pick tickets, bills of lading, truckload schedules and reports.

Skills and Abilities

Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.

Ability to prioritize and work under pressure.

Computer proficiency utilizing an ERP system (SAGE a plus) and advanced knowledge of Excel and Outlook.

Solid written and verbal communication skills

Robust understanding of LTL shipment routing freight commodities and assessorial charges

Sharp comprehension of volume LTL, multi-stop and full truckload shipments

Strong capacity for understanding and communicating with internal and external stakeholders.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
