Job Description
Applied Technologies Group, Inc. (ATG) is a government service provider located in Huntsville, AL. We are accepting resumes for a Logistics Management Specialist to assist the Product Manager with life-cycle management and programmatic support for a Hardware production line and provide support to the Improved Data Modem (IDM) APM and the Logistics Lead. The Logistics Management Specialist will perform duties as the IDM Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Manager in support of the Improved Data Modem (IDM) team and serve as the Fielding Manager. Work to be performedat Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL.
Responsibilities, may include but are not limited to:
- Perform technical and program management activities to support project planning and scheduling, monitoring and control, risk management, and deliverables management.
- Plan, schedule, coordinate and execute Integrated Logistics Support/Integrated Product Support (ILS/IPS) requirements in support of the IDM systems.
- Support all ILS elements in accordance with AR 700-127 and AR 700-142.
- Provide fieldling of hardware support for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) contracts.
- Assist in the development of tracking and inventory system for aviation electronics for Army Aviation Platforms.
- Develop and maintain logistics management information systems.
- Establish tasks, milestones, and management controls for planning, acquiring, and verifying all ILS/IPS elements.
- Review, track and ensure all Logistics suspense's for assigned systems are completed on or before the suspense date.
- Conduct and/or participate in government and contractor IPT meetings to discuss, coordinate, resolve and manage the IDM ILS requirements.
- Participate in the IDM spend plan and spend plan briefing charts for the IDM team.
- Review and track cost performance reports for IDM production.
- Work closely and coordinate with the IDM IPT on cost, schedule, technical and supportability issues to ensure all objectives are met.
- Support will include participating with other functional elements and coordinating with internal and external organizations to ensure total support is provided to all customers.
- Identify issues and develop proper solutions within the logistics area of responsibility for the IDM systems and assist others as needed.
- Review of supply and manuals to address obsolescence and provisioning.
- Develop Statement of Works (SOW) for new production IDM to be delivered to all rotary wing platforms.
- Work closely and coordinate with other logistics personnel in providing support for the IDM system to ensure all support is coordinated internally and externally to meet all system requirements.
- Maintain good communications and coordination with internal and external customers.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of eight (8) years relevant experience preferred. Relevant experience may be substituted for education.
- Army Acquisition experience preferred.
- Army Acquisition Logistics Level III certification, preferred.
- Active DoD SECRET Security Clearance.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and interact professionally with a diverse group of individuals.
- Ability to manage multiple project schedules simultaneously, work effectively and well with others.
- High level of technical competence and analytical skill.
- Excellent computer skills and proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability and willingness to travel.
