Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Ability to unload and process in-bound orders for receipt in SAP.
  • Ability to operate forklift, dolly/pallet jack to load and unload material
  • Inspects inbound shipments for damage or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel.
  • Analyze, process and prepare orders in SAP for delivery to both Domestic and International destinations.
  • Ability to review, and pack orders for shipment.
  • Completes picking orders and material for other departments according to pick list and material requisitions, including relevant SAP transactions.
  • Ability to run daily cycle count and reconciliation of material to meet inventory accuracy objectives.
  • Working knowledge and ability to use Windows operating system and Microsoft Office-based programs, i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Ability to process orders for shipment in standard courier system software e. FedEx, UPS
  • Ability to monitor, and order shipping supplies
  • Essential cross functional team work skills, to be able to communicate regularly with other departments requiring shipping assistance.
  • Excellent clerical, data entry skills to maintain integrity of inventory accuracy in database, file records and perform routine audits.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Time management skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing and inventory control methodologies
  • Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental standards.
  • Performs other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications:PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to work standing, sitting and walking for the majority of a scheduled shift.
  • Must be able to push cart holding up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • May be asked to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Job requires frequent reaching, bending, stooping and kneeling.
  • Job requires frequent handwriting onto inventory cards.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Experience with SAP Sales and Distribution and Material Movement modules is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Export compliance regulations preferred.
  • Experience with and understanding of warehouse operations, and is capable of applying knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring analysis and judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations.
  • Ability to follow daily standard work instructions, with minimal supervision, and general instructions on newly introduced assignments.

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum of 3 year related Shipping/Receiving and Warehouse experience required. 5 years of experience is preferred.
  • Experience in fast paced, technical, manufacturing environment required.
  • Education: Minimum High School graduate. Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
