Job Description
Overview: The Logistics Coordinator position will be located at our Enoree, SC. Emulsion Polymers Plant. The Logistics Coordinator will be providing logistics operations support for the Emulsions Polymers business in the Americas with specific focus on trucking (tank truck/FTL/LTL/export containers). The Logistics Coordinator will also provide backup support for other logistics operations activities including (but not limited to) rail, terminal and pipeline. A collaborative spirit and proactive communication to internal and external stakeholders are key behaviors for success in this role.Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate outgoing bulk/FTL/LTL truck shipments to ensure timely delivery to customers
  • Tender freight to carrier partners in TMS software for all bulk/FTL/LTL shipments from MFG sites
  • Create and maintain records in SAP/TMS for bulk/FTL/LTL trucks
  • Timely posting shipments in SAP
  • Print and file paperwork for bulk/FTL/LTL trucks in accordance with record keeping schedules
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders to solve problems and challenges as they arise, delivering best possible business outcomes
  • Manage all SAP return activities for bulk/FTL/LTL
  • Backup duties including (but not limited to) rail, terminal and pipeline
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
    • College degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of supply chain logistics experience
  • Understands and appreciates safe work-place principles and practices
  • Knowledge/experience in the chemical manufacturing industry and/or trucking sector
  • Computer literacy (including MS office suite of products)
  • Prior experience with SAP PR3 preferred
  • Prior experience of TMS software preferred
  • Strong communication skills with varying levels of management and work streams
  • Desire to work in a dynamic work-place within a growing business
  • Ability to take in information from multiple sources, analyze it, and act on it, while communicating impact to the correct stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Strong ability to balance customer needs, manufacturing plant initiatives, and business line vision and goals
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
