This is a full time, nonexempt position.
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for managing the supply chains of inbound crushing stock from internal and external customers, crude peanut oil from import and domestic suppliers, and supporting commercial and operations team with subsequent operational and inventory planning. They will also manage the peanut meal position and logistics to support Commercial Manager in peanut meal trading, as well as assist the team in various processing tasks to ensure efficient business operations.

Job Responsibilities:
- Successful communication with GPTN crushing and refinery plants. Role also requires interaction with: GPTN Sales; Customers; Suppliers; External Freight Companies; Regulatory Agencies; GPTN Accounting; Brokers, etc.
- Schedule inbound crushing stock and crude peanut oil with suppliers and outside storage facilities
- Manage railcar fleet for crude peanut oil and peanut meal
- Manage peanut meal position – including contracts, rail billing, customer communication, invoicing, etc.
- Inventory management
- Input and process shipping orders
- Handle and understand the needs of all customers as assigned
- Understand and handle documentation required for entry of import oil
- Monitor crude oil transfers from crushing to refinery and input stock transfers
- Invoice documentation and scanning
- Authorize freight and outside purchase payments in a timely manner
- Monthly -3 inventory reconciliation for crushing and refinery
- Minimize cost while meeting customer needs
- Backup for others in dept when out
- A degree in Business, Logistics or a related field preferred
- Two years of experience, working with shipments, shipment documents or in a related area, preferred.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing and marketing processes
- Understand plant operations, including logistics, production and inventory.
- Role requires intimate knowledge of GPTN customer accounts including customer product specifications, receivables, credit limits.
- Understand requirements and procedures of purchase contracts and ensure that these purchases are taken in a timely manner.
- Understand rail transportation and routing
- Qualified candidate must be able to understand farmerstock and oilstock grading, oil and meal trading rules, government regulations and customer specifications.
- Ability to troubleshoot and determine resources that may be needed to solve problems with the Logistics process.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, convey information professionally and concisely.
- Ability to use the GPTN/ADM main-frame computer systems is required.
- Ability to use Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word and other PC based programs required.
- Problem solving and negotiation skills required.
