Job Description
- Coordinate the requirements of shipping to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Packs variety of parts, products or materials in standard boxes, crates or other containers for shipment or storage.
- Requires knowledge of warehouse operations, administrative requirements, company policies, and team procedures.
- Pack material in a safe secure way according to standard work instructions.
- Maintain Visual Management Boards, charts, logbooks, databases and other miscellaneous records as required.
- Inform and work with appropriate associates to resolve any issue with equipment, components or systems.
- Drive continuous improvement through involvement in the Bright Ideas program.
- May operates industrial equipment (forklift, electric pallet jacks, and man-up vehicles), to prepare and send final products to customers.
- May Load /unload trucks in shipping and receiving lanes.
- Manage all product flow using SAP and other documentation as necessary.
- Identify, analyze and resolve BPS system issues.
- Maintain 5S system in work area.
- Cycle Count as required.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must exercise care in handling product to prevent damage.
- Must be able to identify differences in products to insure accurate and quality product is delivered.
- Demonstrated computer skills to include proficiency working in SAP WMS, RF scanning technology, Microsoft Office, and other computer systems and software as necessary.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Obtain proper licensing as required for industrial equipment (forklift, electric pallet jacks, and man-up vehicles).
- Able to use power tools, such as saws, pneumatic staplers, and banders.
- Able to frequently lift at least 40 lbs. and stand/walk 95% of the time.
- Able to kneel, bend over and reach as required.
- Able to work outdoors for short amounts of time and operate in a mildly dusty environment.
- Able to identify, analyze, and resolve problems.
- Prior logistics experience is desired.
