Remote Loan Processor needed for a customer-focused financial institution in Seattle

Our client is a financial institution that has been serving the west coast for nearly 100 years and providing mortgage lending and leans for residential construction and commercial real estate financing, investment, and insurance products and services.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze, document, and recommend REO asset disposition/sales in accordance with our client’s requirements for sales velocity and profit optimization.
- Assess and recommend necessary repairs and improvements to REO assets in order to market them expeditiously.
- Create budgets, obtain required approvals, negotiate contracts, and monitor for completion.
- Coordinate timely receipt of appraisals, inspections, and preparation of internal reports.
- Negotiate and manage tenants in accordance with state and federal regulations, working with internal and outside legal counsel, as necessary.
- Properly and consistently document decisions, actions, and exhibits to the bank filing system. Maintain MSP and other systems in accordance with department and bank procedures.
- Review all files immediately upon receipt. Verify accuracy, file set-up and order out, and status of all outstanding conditions.
- Functions as the Junior Underwriter on files as assigned for LOC renewals and extensions. In connection with the Senior Underwriter will make recommendations for approval or denials.
- Follow up with the borrower by phone, e-mail, and postal mail for any conditions not received by the borrower. Be familiar with acceptable forms of income and asset documentation as per the investor’s and/or insurer’s requirements.
- Work as a liaison with other departments to ensure all documents are executed properly and the servicing system is updated accordingly and within bank & investor policy.
- Send all necessary documents for recording.
QUALIFICATIONS
- The preferred candidate will have a 4-year degree, or equivalent work experience.
- 4 years mortgage processing or related experience required.
- The preferred candidate will have MSP experience.
- Be familiar with conventional loan programs.
- Understand basic income calculations.
- Ability and willingness to work all hours required by this job.
- Excellent communications skills - phone, personal contact, and written.
- Must work ethically and practice sound fiduciary responsibility at all times.
- Good keyboarding and computer skills. Requires the ability to learn and work with complex software applications.
- Ability to work independently, set priorities, and handle multiple tasks.
- Must be dependable in completing tasks with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must exercise good judgment, accept responsibility, and handle confidential information.
- Good at problem solving, researching, and decision-making.
- Willingness to assume additional duties/projects as required.
