Job Summary: *
At Veritex, our Loan Operations keeps our engine running. These professionals make a positive difference in our customer’s lives every single day. We’re seeking a professional to join our team of talented and hard-working Loan Operation Specialists. Under the guidance and direction of the Loan Operations Manager, this professional will perform loan scanning of various loans and credit documents into the bank’s core system and will ensure the efficient operation of the area in accordance with established Bank policies and procedures.

Responsibilities: Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Performs all duties pertaining to Commercial, Consumer, Mortgage, and Installment Loans.
  • Adherences to all regulatory compliance.
  • Acts as a resource in responding to inquiries and resolving problems for Loan Officers and customers.
  • Proactively identifies issues or needed changes, recommends resolution, and participates in quality improvement efforts.
  • Provides prompt, courteous and excellent service to internal and external customers at all times.
  • Actively cooperate and interact with other departments to advance the overall interests of the bank.
  • Maintains educational and professional expertise through attendance at job related seminars, trainings, conferences and workshops.
  • Assists other operational support areas in the completion of their duties in times of unusual activity or as directed by management.
  • Contributes to the effort of the Bank by performing other duties as assigned.
  • Scan closed loans into the system
  • Scan documents into the system that are received post-closing as well as other types of documents.
  • Review documents after they are scanned to ensure accuracy
  • Build loan file and credit files for storage and coordinate archiving the files
  • File perfection documents into the collateral file
  • Resolves any loan exceptions or corrections
  • Integrity, discretion, and respect for confidential information are essential.
  • Answers any customer calls and maintains high level of customer service.
  • Escalates questionable transactions and recurring issues to management in a clear and timely manner.
  • Continual communication with Loan Operations Lead regarding issues, progress, and ideas for improvements.
  • Maintains compliance with all banking laws, acts, regulations and bank policies and procedures.
  • Any other duties and/or projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications: Job Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of one year’s experience working in a Loan Department scanning loan files and credit files or working with loan documentation.
  • Must have previous experience and knowledge of loan documentation and credit file documentation to insure files are scanned correctly
  • Must have the ability to identify attorney prepared loan document types to insure proper scanning.
  • Ability to follow directions in a timely and accurate manner
  • Common sense, sound judgment, and strong attention to detail
  • Proficient with Excel and Word
  • Strong time management, ability to prioritize, and a strong sense of urgency
  • Pleasant telephone skills and courteous manner a must
  • High school graduate or equivalent

Work environment and Physical demands:
The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee will regularly sit; talk; hear; and use hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee will occasionally stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb and balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Special vision requirements include close, distant, and peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The work environment and physical demands are those of a standard office setting.
