Job Description
Shift: 5:00 am to 1:30 pm
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under general supervision of the Liquid Compound Lead and/or Liquid Compound Supervisor will be responsible for assisting of the manufacturing of all liquid product types and the release of the product once completed. The Liquid Compounding Operator will work very closely with Quality Assurance (QA) to ensure products meet all quality specifications per batch records. The Liquid Compounding Operator will be responsible for following the batch records accordingly, making all the proper tank transfer connections and navigate the HMI (Human Machine Interface) with the correct batch/blend tanks, hold tanks, and filler destinations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Inspect sanitation of the Liquid Blending Room and all equipment with Quality Assurance
  • Assist Quality Assurance in the release of the blending room and products.
  • Perform area clearance for removal of previous products, foreign materials and assist with approval of work area readiness prior to use
  • Monitor all aspects of the manufacturing operations and conduct routine “walk-through” in the manufacturing areas and other specified to ensure that good housekeeping practices, good hygiene practices which could affect the safety and quality of the manufactured products, are followed
  • Enforce compliance and application of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
  • Ensure all safety guidelines and regulations are being followed
  • Comply with the proper usage of Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Always maintain Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in good conditions
  • Participate in daily manufacturing meeting
  • Verify schedule batches match formulas provided and all raw materials that consist with formula
  • Ability to follow step by step formula instructions
  • Maintain good communication with Quality Assurance (QA) during the blending process
  • Keep aligned communication with all departments as necessary
  • Maintain a clean work environment throughout the shift by properly disposing of trash and recyclables
  • Responsible for reporting unauthorized persons on site to their Supervisor and/or Manager who will address the situation accordingly
  • Responsible for Food Safety
  • Perform other duties as directed by Liquid Compound Lead and/or Liquid Compounding Supervisor
REQUIRED EDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years of Liquid Compound experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal
  • Problem solving skills utilizing basic math and time management
  • Knowledge of food manufacturing processes, procedures, and equipment
  • Forklift experience
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends
  • Regular attendance is required
  • Frequently standing and walking in the Liquid Blending area
  • Frequently lifting 50lbs and carrying 35lbs
  • Occasionally work at and/or above shoulder level, reaching with hands and arms for grasping and manipulation of objects
  • Occasionally will be required to wear a respirator
  • Frequently climbing of ladders and/or stairs
  • Frequently stooping, crouching, kneeling, crawling, pushing, and pulling
  • Rarely sitting
