Job Description
The End Users Services organization is seeking an experienced and motivated Linux Systems Manager in the Nashua, NH area to oversee a geographically dispersed team of Linux professionals who are responsible for systems administration tasks such as operating systems installations, break-fix remediation, and service requests for workstations physical and virtual). The selected candidate will provide technical leadership and guidance to the team while interfacing with the customer to ensure timely resolution of issues while meeting established SLO (Service Level Objectives), KPI (Key Performance Indicators) and high CSAT (Customer Satisfaction) expectations.
The Linux Workstation Manager will provide planning, direction, coordination and control necessary to accomplish all work requirements, manage and oversee all technical activities performed by employees and contractors. The manager will also be asked to help the team troubleshoot advanced technical problems to identify both root cause and possible solutions. The Linux Workstation Manager will serve as the team’s point-of-contact for establishing team priorities, staffing levels and personnel development.

The Linux Workstation Manager will provide planning, direction, coordination and control necessary to accomplish all work requirements, manage and oversee all technical activities performed by employees and contractors. Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- 12+ years’ experience in Information Technology (IT) with hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux Systems Administration (7/8), Ubuntu and VMWare
- Experience directing and leading team of experienced dispersed technical professionals; to include both employees and contractors
- Demonstrated expertise in overseeing the deployment of secure physical and virtual (VMWare)Linux workstations
- Familiar with the configuration and maintenance of workstation and network appliances
- Experience in hardware and software maintenance activities; to include upgrades, patching and technology refreshes
- Demonstrated experiencing modernizing workstation environment and optimizing infrastructure to support new distributions/flavors (e.g. RedHat, Ubuntu, etc.)
- Ability to oversee system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all workstation resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs etc.
- Ability to research and recommend innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for system administration tasks
- Experience developing team goals and objectives while providing performance feedback and conducting mid and end of year performance reviews
- Candidate should have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Travel = 10%
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Master’s Degree in Information Technology (IT) Management, Computer Science or related IT discipline
- Experience in achieving CMMC level 3 or higher compliance in organization
- Ability to obtain Secret clearance
