Linux System Administrator

UCS is supporting SPAWAR Network Services IPT division in North Charleston. The UCS team provides infrastructure and network security services for the RDT&E, Research, Development, Test and Development, enterprise in support of SPAWARSYSCEN Atlantic employees and projects at all locations. UCS is seeking a Linux System Administer to support in the RDT&E Lab. This position requires practical experience providing day to day Linux Systems Administration.

The candidate should have experience in the following:

• System Administration
• Linux / Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
• Knowledge of Networking technologies, protocols, tuning and troubleshooting Linux server and cluster service issues
• Experience with virtual machine environment
• Experience with basic scripting and networking
• Certification Requirements: Linux O/S Certification or Linux +; Sec +
• Clearance Requirements: Secret

Overall Requirements:

• Previous Helpdesk experience supporting Linux / RHEL O/S
• Ability to work independently, as well as with a team
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, set priorities, and give attention to detail and quality.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to multi-task
