Light & Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic

Bob Brown Chevrolet, one of Iowa's premiere dealerships, is looking for light & heavy duty truck technicians. Our business is growing, and we need more full-trained and experienced technicians. If you are an industry veteran, we want to talk with you.

SUMMARY

Functions as a skilled-level technician who is able to perform diagnoses and repairs in all areas, in addition to being specialized in particular areas of repair, and who has previously worked with light & heavy duty trucks.

DUTIES

• Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair.
• Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Communicates with Service Manage and Service Advisors to complete the job in a timely manner.
• Understands and can work with vehicle and shop technology.
• Performs job to company standards

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, & TRAINING

• Preferred but not required.
• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications
• Valid Driver's License Required
• Diesel experience welcomed, but not required.
• We offer an extensive paid training program that includes both onsite and online instruction.

SCHEDULE

Full-time positions available with some Saturdays required on a rotating schedule.

COMPENSATION

Your compensation will be based on your experience and production. A signing bonus is available for the right candidate.
