Our outpatient treatment services offer supportive and compassionate care for the entire life span through specialty programs that are tailored to meet the needs of our clients. Next STEPS firmly believes in a multidisciplinary team approach within an outpatient office setting. Our team consists of licensed psychologists, therapists, dietitians, and provider support specialists who collaborate regularly to offer the highest level of client care possible to ensure client success.
We are currently seeking a Licensed Clinical Therapist to join our dynamic team of experts who will not only help to meet the needs of our clients but also play a key role in the continued success and future growth of our organization.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Provide individual/family sessions appropriate to client needs.
- Provide group therapy appropriate to the population.
- Attend and participate in treatment planning meetings and clinical meetings as assigned.
- Display professionalism in dealing with customers, staff, and clinicians.
- Must be familiar with DSM-V as a means of diagnosis.
- Has experience in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a broad range of psychiatric conditions.
- Competence in individual, family, and group psychotherapy
- Thoroughly complete psychosocial assessments
- Create and develop new programs and treatment tracks.
- Present and publish research at local, state, and national venues.
- Network weekly with other treatment facilities and providers in the community.
- Ability to complete multiple tasks/objectives in a timely manner.
- Accuracy in diagnosing patients and developing effective treatment plans.
- Knowledge of Evidence-Based Practice and psychotherapy research methods.
- Knowledge of the bio-psycho-social functions that contribute to mental health.
- Professional maturity and ethical integrity necessary for assuming professional responsibilities.
- Commitment to quality of service, teamwork, and participation in a highly interactive multidisciplinary clinic.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Knowledge of social service agencies, state regulations, and APA standards as it related to client treatment, patient rights, and client/patient confidentiality.
- Knowledge of psychological testing techniques, administration, and interpretation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Education equivalent to a master’s degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Must be licensed (passed the State exam) as an LPC, LPC-I, LMFT, LMFT-A in the State of Texas.
- Previous clinical responsibility to include crisis intervention, individual and group psychotherapy.
