Job Description
Overview: This unit is a 28 bed Surgical Telemetry Unit and is a fast paced, post-surgical floor, where we specialize in the care of patients following surgery. Our primary patient mix includes General, Bariatric and Neurosurgical services. We are dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients, and we accomplish this by combining proven nursing techniques, extensive post-surgical knowledge and top tier education and teamwork.

Responsibilities:

LPN essential functions include, but are not limited to: collaboration with other health professionals, assessment, analyzing assessment data, establishing goals, planning care strategy, establishing priorities of care, implementing care, delegating tasks safely, providing safe direct and indirect nursing care, evaluating responses to interventions, and performing additional nursing functions in accordance with knowledge and skills acquired beyond basic nursing preparation.

Qualifications:EDUCATION
Completion of a vocational program for Licensed Practical Nurse.
EXPERIENCE
Prefer previous hospital experience.
Previous work history reflecting stable employment is necessary.
If no work experience, will consider school attendance record and performance.
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION
Current Oklahoma State LPN License or active Mulistate LPN License.
Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) training for duration of employment.
