Licensed Practical Nurse Clinic

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works with his/her team partner(s) to provide direct patient care. As a member of the Patient Care Team, the LPN provides technical nursing care for patients in a clinic setting. Is responsible for making sound clinical decisions and to provide a comprehensive delivery of care to each individual patient; provide a wide variety of patient care activities and services. Will adhere to and pursuant to objectives and policies of the Heart & Vascular Center and LCMH.

LPN is responsible for delegated nursing care for all patients assigned to him/her by the Physician, Practice Manager, Practice Director and/or VP of Physician Services. To perform all other duties assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Graduate of an accredited LPN Program
• Current license in State of Louisiana (Licensed Practical Nurse)
• Current CPR certification

EXPERIENCE:

• Experience in providing direct patient care. Physician office setting desirable
• Computer literacy
• Previous experience working in certain specialty areas may be desirable
