The Legal Department is looking for an experienced professional to be part of a team tasked with supporting the marketing and brand activities of Goldman Sachs. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with the many different business teams across the firm. The position will support the Executive Office and execute on the global marketing and brand strategy for Goldman Sachs and its various divisions. This position will interact daily with colleagues across the firm’s legal, compliance, privacy, marketing, brand and technology functions.RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:Responsibilities:
  • Review of marketing claims and copy, and develop / manage associated legal disclosures
  • Develop marketing materials and related content and support distribution on various distribution channels
  • Support general brand and marketing campaigns
  • Structure and negotiate marketing agreements, media buys and brand partnerships
  • Develop, review and manage sponsorship, event and talent agreements
  • Provide general legal support for brand, advertising and marketing for the Executive Office
  • Monitor state and federal marketing, advertising, media and finance developments with a primary focus on regulations, self-regulatory organizations, consent orders, and other regulatory issues pertaining to marketing and advertising, including related laws and regulatory activity
  • Opportunity to work closely with lawyers from other divisions


Basic Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of and experience with federal, state and finance laws and regulations including those relating to marketing and advertising
  • Experience with drafting of marketing claims, partnerships and contracts
  • Knowledge of consent orders relating to marketing and finance
  • 3+ years’ post qualification experience. Experience working on marketing and brand related issues and programs with financial companies a significant plus.
  • Team player with inherent commercial judgment and strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • High level of initiative, integrity, and organization
