Rapidly expanding Employment Law Firm is seeking to hire a competent and motivated individual to assist attorneys and paralegals. We are looking for someone with a legal background who is comfortable speaking with clients, performing intakes, and working with the other members of our law team to keep things running smoothly.
DUTIES TO PERFORM
· Filing of documents in various court locations
· Following up regarding status and/or issues with filings in a prompt and professional manner
· Interviewing clients, witnesses and others; drafting declaration statements based on interviews
· Setting up court calls
· Manage and organize case documents
· Assist paralegals with various legal administrative tasks and assignments
· Manage other administrative tasks as assigned
SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED
· Written Communication Skills –Command of grammar, spelling, and the English language
· Computer Skills – Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and internet
· Interpersonal “People” Skills –Must be a team player
· Ability to multitask
· Common sense and good judgement
· High personal standards and positive work ethic
· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
· Minimum 2-year degree is required
· Spanish language fluency is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
