Lecturer, Information Technology

The University of Houston–Clear Lake (UHCL) Information Technology Program (ITEC) seeks to hire a Lecturer in Information Technology beginning Fall, 2022. This is a full-time, non-tenure track position. The successful candidate will be expected to achieve excellence in teaching and service, and to assist in further development of the UHCL Information Technology program.
Duties:

• With a strong commitment to excellence, teach undergraduate information technology lectures courses (four courses per semester).
• Participate in such service activities as program development, course development, program assessment, student mentoring, and committee leadership.
• Provide instruction in a full range of undergraduate Information Technology courses that include, but are not limited to Computer Networks, Forensics, Web Development, Scripting, Cloud Computing, and Cyber Security – with preference given to candidates with strong web or cybersecurity skills.

Required: *

• Master's degree in Information Technology or a closely related field
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching, in both face-to-face and online formats.

Desired:
Experience developing both face-to-face and online courses.
Experience with curriculum development and program assessment.
Excellent communication skills in multicultural settings.
